For Spring 2013, Vivienne Westwood offered up her expected mix of ornate patterns, corset dresses, and over-the-top makeup and hair making for a theatrical, but surprisingly wearable collection.
While the styling made some pieces appear a bit costumey, the overall collection was exceedingly more commercial than what we’re used to seeing from Westwood. With worldly influences from Asia to Great Britian, the collection included kimono-style dresses, tops finished with oversized cascading pleats, oriental prints, and tailored jackets with ruched shoulders.
